I’m sure that’s the title I would be writing if The Killers had not cancelled the gig. Typically, I think I jinxed it by writing how excited I was.
On Tuesday night part way into their 5th song The Killers walked off the stage. Brandon Flowers told the crowd he could not continue because he had lost his voice. Brandon said “I can’t sing. I don’t know what else to tell you. I’m sorry. I promise that we will come back.”
They wrote on Facebook “Manchester, we started something we couldn’t finish and we’re so, so sorry. Working on rescheduling tonight and tomorrow’s shows. Will let you know new dates ASAP.”
As gutting as it is, at least the shows have not been completely cancelled. They have been rescheduled for February 17 & 18 next year.
Tickets are still valid for the rescheduled dates with the exception of standing tickets from the first show, which will be re-issued by ticketing agents as these are taken before you enter the arena.
Hopefully, the extra wait will still be worth it.
