30th March 2009 - What’s with all the incest?

Is anyone else slightly disturbed that over the last year the number of cases of fathers raping and fathering children with their own daughters is now at four?

First there was Josef Fritzl, who imprisoned his daughter for 24 years and had seven children with her.

Then there was a man in Sheffield, even more disturbing because it’s where I live, who raped his two daughters fathering nine children.

Then in quick succession we hear about the “Italian Fritzl” and the “Columbian Fritzl” who both raped their daughters, the former encouraging his son to take part and the later claiming that they had agreed to …
